Electric vehicle and hybrid EV powertrains
Most automotive manufacturers are developing electric vehicles in their attempts to improve fuel economy and reduce emissions. In 2005, many manufacturers brought their second generation of vehicles to market and it has been estimated that by 2008, around half a million hybrid EVs will be on the road.
Hybrid development is multifaceted, with all the principal elements undergoing significant changes to accommodate demand expectations in the coming years. Developments in power electronics and packaging material technologies have enabled systems to become more highly integrated, overcoming space limitations that seemed insurmountable just a few years ago.
EMX has accumulated considerable knowledge and experience of EV motor design, and is well qualified to meet the demands of this growing market.
